On 16th October, the inauguration of the Capacity Building for Design and Entrepreneurship (CBDE) project took place at MIIC, MNIT Jaipur, marking a significant step for MNIT Jaipur in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Prof. N.P. Padhy, Honourable Director of MNIT Jaipur and Prof. Monica Sharma, Head MIIC, alongside notable mentors Mr. Jeyadev Parthasarathy, Mr. Paresh Gupta, and Mr. Madhup Bansal. The host Dr. Sanjay Gaur, Senior Operations Manager, MIIC warmly welcomed deans, heads, faculty members and all guests, highlighting MIIC's mission to promote entrepreneurship through various initiatives. Notably, MIIC has conducted over 219 programs benefiting more than 23,000 participants and has supported 126 startups, demonstrating its commitment to creating a vibrant startup ecosystem. A memorable moment of the event was the release of the MIIC Coffee Table Book, showcasing the entrepreneurial journeys of 18 selected startups, marked a key highlight. This book symbolizes the spirit of innovation and was officially released by Prof. N.P.Padhy, Director MNIT along with the dignitaries on stage. Prof. Monica Sharma, Head MIIC and CoPI of the CBDE Project made the august gathering aware about the aims and objectives CBDE Project. Post this, expert mentors shared their insights. Mr. Jeyadev Parthasarathy emphasized the importance of mentorship, while Mr. Paresh Gupta spoke about persistence in entrepreneurship. Mr. Madhup Bansal, an alumnus of MNIT, highlighted the necessity of creating value for clients. The event concluded with an inspiring keynote address by Prof. N.P. Padhy, who reinforced MNIT's commitment to supporting aspiring entrepreneurs. He emphasized the institution’s role in providing an ecosystem where students can freely explore innovative ideas, develop entrepreneurial mindsets, and access mentorship and resources to turn their concepts into viable ventures. Prof. Padhy also highlighted the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration and the continuous development of faculty to ensure that they can guide students effectively throughout their entrepreneurial journeys. The address served as a motivating end to an event that underscored MNIT Jaipur’s dedication to fostering innovation, design thinking, and startup culture among both students and faculty, setting the stage for future successes within the CBDE Project. The CBDE project inauguration not only celebrated the launch of an important initiative but also fostered collaboration and innovation within the MNIT Jaipur community. Attendees were invited to high tea, providing an opportunity for networking and further discussions, continuing the spirit of entrepreneurship.
